- The mezuzah should be placed on the bottom of the top third of the doorpost. If it was placed higher, then as long as it is more than a tefach (aprox. 3 inches) from the top it is kosher.
- It should be placed on the doorpost within a tefach from the outside.
- It should be placed on a slant towards inside the room.
