If one is relieving themselves in an open area with no partitions, their face should be to the south and back to the north or vice a versa. If possible one should go to the side and not relieve themselves in front of others.

Similarly, when using a bathroom, one should make sure to close the door of the bathroom when relieving themselves. At the urinals there should be partitions between them.
