One does not need to check a child’s diaper before reciting a Davar Shebikedushah, unless there is reason to think that it is dirty. If one is in middle of reciting a Davar Shebikedushah and a child with a foul-smelling diaper comes into their presence, one should move away four amos from where the foul odor reaches, and then finish the Davar Shebikedushah there. If this is not possible, then one should clean the child and then continue, as long as the interruption was not more time than it would usually take to recite that entire Davar Shebikedushah from beginning to end.
