Halacha Yomi: July 18 2018

A man may not recite a Brachah or Davar Shebikedushah while he can hear a woman or girl from the age of six, whether Jewish or non-Jewish, sing. However, unspoken thoughts, reading with one’s eyes, or listening to a recording of Torah is permitted. For a father or brother this begins when their daughter/sister reaches the age of eleven.
