If one needs to start work at around משיכיר then he could daven already from עלות (but it is a question whether or not to put on tefilin, one should ask a personal question in this case). One who needs to be at work before עלות and can not leave during work to daven with a Minyan, but can leave to take a break and daven alone without a Minyan, can daven alone.
