Halacha Yomi: January 1 2019 (traveling before davening)

Traveling –  one is not allowed to travel before davening even if one will be able to daven at the destination before the time of Tefillah is over. In a pressing situation, such as for a flight that will not wait for them, one is allowed to travel, however, one should first recite the Brachos. Traveling for a Mitzvah, such as a Mohel to perform a Bris, is also permitted, however, he too should recite the Brachos beforehand. One may travel to a Makom Kadosh to daven, such as Kever Rachel, Kosel Hamaravi, or Kivrei Tzadikim.
