The general rule is that where there is no kedusha, there is no tumah. Therefore, if a non-Jew touches food it may still be eaten, even though they may not have washed their hands in the morning. There is a discussion in the Poskim regarding bakeries and food establishments that employ non-religious workers who touch the food and may not have washed their hands in the morning, however, the general minhag is to be lenient.
