One should wash their face in the morning, because we have the צלם אלקים. One can do so even with the water remaining on their hands from netilas yadayim. After washing one’s face they should make sure to dry it very well. Also, one should rinse and clean their mouth out before reciting the name of Hashem, but if one did not do so they may still recite brachos.
