One should recite a bracha loud enough so that they hear themselves say the brachah. This does not mean to scream and disturb others , rather it means loud enough to hear the words (this can be challenging when bentching at a wedding with the music blasting). One who concentrates better when reciting the brachah quietly may do so as long as they could hear the brachah.
