One should not recite a bracha in a rush or out of habit, rather slowly and deliberately, while paying attention to the meaning of the words. While one recites a brachah they should think about Hashem’s kindness that He has given us this fruit or bread etc. to benefit from, and by a bracha on a mitzvah, one should think about Hashem’s kindness for giving us the opportunity to perform His will by doing His mitzvos. When reciting Hashem’s Name one should have in mind “Master of all”.
